Their Story
Danny loves our country, and is grateful to have served in this way. While his time overseas was difficult and has a lasting impact on him, he knows it was meaningful. He is a better man because of all he learned, and he has gained a perspective that most of us will never have. He is so special, and he leads our family well. He serves his community in many ways, still. We are honored to know him and be loved by him.
“This story stands out to me: during one of their most frightening moments on deployment, his best friend was laughing. When Danny asked him why, he said something like, “I’m scared- I laugh when I’m scared”.. it gave them just a moment of comic relief, one they remember still.”
