Their Story

I want to honor my brother Joe because he made the courageous decision to serve our country during a tumultuous time in our world's history. He put himself in harm's way for something much greater than himself. His service represents sacrifice, courage, and a willingness to protect the freedoms and safety of others. He earned the Army Commendation Medal (ARCOM), Army Commendation Medal with Valor (ARCOM V), and Purple Heart.

“My favorite memory is when I traveled with my family to Fort Lewis, Washington to welcome him home. I can remember the servicemen marching in, being released, and me running to greet him. It was a collection of emotions I will never forget!”
