Their Story
After successfully landing on Normandy Beach on D Day, Marshall (a medical corpsman) was wounded a few days later by enemy action in France. He lost both lower legs and received a Purple Heart.
“Marshall was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. He worked for 28 years for the Department of Treasury. Throughout his life, he continued to support soldiers that were amputees. He was proud to be a member of the DAV and the American Legion. He was always happy and enjoyed life.”
