Their Story

Mike served as an Engineer officer in the Army. Most.of his service was with combat brigades as a combat engineer. He had two tours on Iraq. The first one was with 1st Brigade 25th ID in Mosul. He was the Assistant Brigade engineer for this deployment. His second deployment was with 84th Engineer Company, 2nd Cavalry Regimentnas the company commander.

“I cherish Christmas day in Baghdad Iraq. One of the soldier in the company dressed as Santa Claus. All of the soldiers took turns having a poto taken in his lap. This was a nice break from the serious mission of clearing improvised explosive devices from the roads each day.”
