Their Story
I am honoring my dad for his 23 years of dedicated service to our country. His military service has always been an important part of who he is and I’ve always admired his patriotism and dedication to others. Even after his years of service, he has continued to give back by volunteering as a DAV driver. I’m incredibly proud to call him my dad and grateful for all he has done for our country and our family.
“We recently traveled to Scotland to visit my dad’s old naval base, RAF Edzell, where he was stationed in the 1970s. Although the base closed in 1996 and we couldn’t tour the grounds, we saw the Quarterdeck, old hangars, church, dining hall and dental office. We even met the local farmer who now owns the land! Being there brought back so many memories and stories from my dad’s time stationed there. It was incredibly special to experience a piece of his military history together.”
