Their Story

My brother was drafted to serve in Vietnam, as were thousands of our young men. He was very proud to serve his country, despite the public's understable concerns that changed over time. He was assigned in multiple positions throughout several locations in Vietnam, including as a "Gunner" on Chinook helicopters. More than 1,115 soldiers died in the Tet Offensive at that time and over 4,000 died before the war we nded. That war left a deep grief within our country and those who bravely served.
